Any proper rehabilitation is based on a mixed plan of therapies and procedures, coordinated at our clinic by the kinesiotherapist together with specialists – orthopedist-traumatologist, neurologist, rheumatologist, physiotherapist – and personalized according to the condition, its stage, the patient's profile and other objective medical factors. If you are looking for an alternative to surgery or pain medication, or are recovering after an operation, we recommend a consultation with a kinesiotherapist.
A unique method for treating SCOLIOSIS is Schroth therapy.
It is a conservative treatment for idiopathic scoliosis and Scheuermann's disease.
It consists of a series of exercises aimed at elongating the trunk and correcting spinal asymmetries, with visible results in children as well as adults.
It combines stretching, toning and special breathing techniques that use postural reflexes to change the cortical engram of the patient with scoliosis and stimulate sensorimotor training. The technique has a major functional impact, significantly improving the signs and symptoms of scoliosis.
The Schroth program is based on an individual assessment of each patient; treatment sessions last 45 to 60 minutes, and 16 to 40 of them may be needed to learn the exercises, 3 times a week for at least 6 months. After this period, continuing the exercises at home is absolutely necessary to keep the body in an optimal symmetrical position. The Schroth therapy specialists at our clinic are ready to help you treat scoliosis and much more!
