Ultrasound is a painless, non-invasive imaging examination that uses ultrasound waves to view the organs and how they work.
It is currently the main screening method for viewing anatomical structures and their function, and for detecting changes in the structure of organs and tumors. Certain types of ultrasound (Doppler) can examine the vascular system, both arterial and venous. Its advantage is that it is harmless and can be repeated as often as needed.
